On July 17th 2021, after over 15 months of being closed (restricted), the Trinidad and Tobago Government reopened the Trinidad borders for international travel. Entry into the country is only permitted via entry from the Piarco International Airport, Trinidad. The confidence for such a decision came as a result of the ongoing mass vaccination and availability of COVID-19 vaccines along with a slight decrease in positive COVID-19 cases. The combination of a growing number of vaccinated persons with the reduced infection rate, provides hope for the return of commerce and socialisation and with it, the need for international travel. If you are planning to travel for work, business or leisure, here are the top 3 things that you need to know. (Trinidad Travel Requirements Border)

  2. Apply for your Travel Pass for entry to Trinidad

  3. Know and Follow Protocols

Travellers who are NOT fully vaccinated, will be required to enter into a mandatory 14 day quarantine and PCR retesting, at an approved state supervised quarantine hotel, at their expense. Before beginning the application process, travellers MUST have proof of confirmed accommodation at one of these facilities.

3. Follow Protocols

While we attempt to get back flying and back to the destinations we enjoy, we must not forget the importance of adhering to the Covid-19 protocols. The Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago, has taken the opportunity to share and remind us of the air travel protocols that are in place, for departures and arrivals at the air port.
